Does anyone have family in a large nursing home where the residents have meals in a dining room? Is it typical for residents to taken to the DR in their bedclothes?

Yes, when my mom was at a large facility I would see residents in the dining room in all types of attire.

It is acceptable for me. However, it would really be good if there are some restrictions in terms of proper attire in the dining area.

Yes Guys, I think you are saying it true that it can be tolerable in dining room but it should not happen as on a regular basis. There should be some rules which should be followed by the residents as its their responsibility also to keep surrounding environment clean.

It is much better if they can change into something more presentable before they proceed to the dining room. There should be a rule or something that these residents should follow. Their condition is never an excuse for them not to look presentable.
