Our newborn son just turned 1 week old and I would like to take him to visit my mom.  She is in a residential nursing home that at this point only has 1 other resident.  I would like to take our baby to visit her but he has not had his shots yet.  The pediatrician said he should be fine but I am not sure.  How long should I wait?

New born baby is so delicate and need extra care and as a mother I can understand your worry but do believe in your doctor as they know the technical reasons and situations in which the child is in, so they can suggest more accurately and they can understand the position of the child more than anybody else so do follow your doctor's suggestion and instruction, your baby will be fine.

A medical history, physical examination, and a series of special tests can help determine precisely where the ringing in the ears cause is originating.

Your little bundle of joy is still in a very delicate condition but since your pediatrician has given you the go signal, then I guess your baby will be fine in the nursing home.

I think you need not worry too much since the doctor said it's fine.  After all, I'm pretty sure your mom is very excited to see her grandson/daughter so much that it would be sad to make her wait for too long.
