Thank you to all who have offered your opinions. First, I want to say that I am not after my grandmother's money. I know some of you hinted that I am only after her $. This is not true. I have been taking care of my grandmother since I was 15 yrs old (now 23), I have never asked her for money or taken her money. I have worked since I was 15 and paid MY OWN way through college. I understand that Medicaid is there for people who have nothing. I also realize that Medicaid is there to help people who are to sorry to work (I know some). I think it's unfair that people work their entire lives and pay to keep others up and then are forced to lose everything before the government helps them. Also, I understand that her money is there to pay for her nursing care. I also understand that once she is approved for Medicaid (and is broke) I will be responsible for paying all her bills plus my own. This is all new to me, I need some guidance in what to do, I am sole caregiver and have no outside help
